Vx/SQLMOD Enhancements for Seamless Database Migration

Sector7 has enhanced Vx/SQLMOD to generate Postgres ECPG from SQLMOD in addition to Oracle Pro*C. Vx/SQLMOD also generates test drivers for all converted SQLMODs, simplifying unit testing and reducing costs. These unit test drivers can be linked to the original compiled SQLMOD on VMS / OpenVMS, providing robust unit test capabilities for the original SQLMOD. With Vx/SQLMOD, your VMS / OpenVMS application can continue to run on VMS / OpenVMS while offloading the database to a Linux, Windows, or UNIX server running Oracle or Postgres.

SQLMOD is converted to Postgres ECPG or Oracle Pro*C on VMS / OpenVMS. By installing the Oracle or Postgres client on VMS / OpenVMS, you can seamlessly convert your Rdb data to Oracle or Postgres and establish a connection between your VMS / OpenVMS system and a Windows, Linux, or UNIX database server.
